Bay Gates

Hey there incoming transfers! My name is Bay and I'm a rising fourth year majoring in Mechanical Engineering. I transferred from Northern Virginia Community College at the Annandale and Alexandria Campuses. I am a part of the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and a co-ed professional frat called Theta Tau. Both have been very influential and helped me develop to who I am today. When I am not school-ing, you can find me hiking or working at Trader Joe's. I know from experience that transferring into a new school can be very daunting since you have to navigate through new courses, adapt to a new place, find new friends, and worry about personal lives as well. I am here to help you succeed and find your place here at UVA.
