Bio

Welcome UVA class of 2027! I am so excited to have all of you on the grounds and for you to start your first semester here at this wonderful institution! My name is Nazifa Rahman (she/her) and a rising third year here at UVA (time flies!!) I am a QuestBridge Scholar majoring in Computer Science with a minor in Psychology (two very different niches, but represent my love for both tech and thought). I am from Richmond, Virginia (804) but was born in Jhenaidah, Bangladesh. I am a part of the UVA Student Council, Girls Who Code, and several Muslim CIOs on Grounds, and also an RA (Resident Advisor) in Kent-Dabney! A few interesting facts about me are I am a major Marvel fan, I love to journal, speak 5(ish) languages, consider myself an artsy gal (calligraphy, acrylic, oil-based), and am empowered and driven by social justice work relating to humanitarian movements, and I also enjoy cycling and reading for fun! Currently reading Anxious People a novel by Fredrik Backman. I can’t wait to meet you all and please feel free to reach out to me or any of the other OLs if you need anything at all! Excited to see some HOOs in the house!
