Hi Class of 2027! Welcome to UVA! I'm Jiawen (she/her) and I'm a rising third year in the College of Arts and Sciences studying history and statistics. I can't wait to meet you! I give admissions and historical tours through the University Guides Service, advocate for more education in African American History through HEAAL (History of Enslaved African American History), and dance on a hip hop dance crew called X-Tasee Dance Crew. Teaching is one of my biggest passions so I tutor fifth grade math through a Teach for America fellowship and lead dance workshops at the Boys and Girls Club in Charlottesville. I also love picnics on the Lawn, watching sunsets/sunrises, and binging Game of Thrones with my roommates.
