  • Retrieve your UID (University ID) number

Your UID number is the nine-digit number that serves as your ID throughout your time at UVA. Assigned to you by the University, it is NOT your Social Security number. You can retrieve your UID number online. To do so, you will need your seven-digit UVA Student Information System (SIS) ID number. This number can be found in the email acknowledging receipt of your application for admission. You will use this number in connection with various enrollment tasks, such as your dining contract and financial aid.

  • Add Authorized Users in UVAPay

Your student record is protected -- even from your parents -- by federal law. Because so many students rely on their parents and others for help with their financial aid or student account, we recommend that all students make parents or anyone else helping them with financing college authorized users in UVAPay. It only takes a minute, and your parents and your future self will thank you!
Deadline: July 1

  • Complete Pre-Entrance Health Form

Students must download and complete the required immunization record by August 1, prior to starting at UVA.

Available: NOW
Deadline: August 1
  • Submit Payment for Tuition and Fees

For complete information, visit the Student Financial Services website.
Available: Term Statements (tuition bills) are usually posted in later July, but this date could change based on the University calendar.

  • Enroll in or Submit Proof of Health Insurance

The University requires all students who are charged the comprehensive fees with tuition to have health insurance. Students can either enroll in the UVA Aetna Student Health Plan or submit proof of current, comparable health insurance coverage. Watch this video to learn more about the health insurance verification and enrollment process at UVA! Video transcript here.

Learn more at the UVA Student Health and Wellness insurance page, or email with questions.

Deadline: August 31
