Congratulations and welcome to Mr. Jefferson’s University! My name is Anneliese Musil and I am a rising fourth year in the McIntire School of Commerce. I am concentrating in Finance and Marketing and pursuing a Global Commerce track and a Quantitative Finance track. I transferred from the sunny University of Miami in Florida after my first year of college, but home for me is Chicago, Illinois. Although transferring may seem daunting at times, I strongly believe that becoming a member of the University Community has positively impacted my life both inside and outside of the classroom. Quite honestly, I feel very fortunate to be surrounded by incredibly talented and ambitious peers and exceptionally inspiring and helpful professors. As a Transfer Student Peer Advisor, I am here to help you acclimate to a new university that will quickly become your new home. If you have any questions or concerns, no matter how big or small, please reach out to me over the summer and during the school year. I sincerely hope that you all will find a new home here and discover the many things that make the University of Virginia so unique. Once again, congratulations!

Hey new Hoos! I'm so excited to help usher you into such a fantastic community! My name is Cameron Leventen. I’m currently an American Studies Major pursuing a minor in Art History. I was born and bred in Malibu, California -- so in many ways, the world of UVA has been a “study abroad” experience for me! As a third year transfer into the College of Arts and Sciences, I found my niche very quickly thanks to a set of fantastic professors and courses that paired me with like-minded individuals. I’m also an active member of UVA Outdoors Club, FMS (Filmmakers Society), and the Franklin Arts Society. Through these groups I’ve been able to focus on my avid love of writing, so catch some of my published work in Movable Type and the The Oculus this upcoming semester! As a transfer, I often found myself terrified of asking the “wrong” question, and that held me back -- so don’t be afraid to ask me as many absurd or awkward questions as you please! You can find me downtown on the weekends listening to live music at Miller’s, on a hiking trail early on Sunday mornings, or a rooftop restaurant when the weather allows. The transition to UVA is truly a life-changing one, and I want to be there for you as a resource in a way that I wish I’d had. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, we’re in this together! Get ready!

Hey y'all! My name is Cariné Megerian, and I am so excited to welcome you home to the University of Virginia! I am a rising fourth year, majoring in Sociology while following a pre-med track. I transferred from College of Charleston in South Carolina, but I am originally from outside of Philadelphia! Since getting to UVA I have gotten involved with the Armenian Students Association, Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, Global Medical Dental Brigades, and MedServices through Madison House. Transferring to a new school is exciting and fun, but also overwhelming and nerve-wracking, which is why I'm here for anything you need - academic questions, tours of Grounds, someone to get lunch with, or even a ride to the store. Please feel free to reach out to me via email, text, Facebook, etc. with any questions or concerns. I can't wait to help you all transition and find your place here!

Hi transfer students! My name is Carolina Ratcliff. I am a transfer from Syracuse University. I can't wait to get to know you all and help you navigate the transfer experience. About myself, I am a student athlete on the women's rowing team. When I'm not in class or rowing, I like to nap. Just kidding, sort of, I also like to go see movies, go to target for no reason at all, draw, write, and watch Jimmy Fallon videos for a socially unacceptable amount of time. I hope you all love UVA as much as I do. And if you're ever in the mood for any of the above listed activities I participate in (I have a great couch for you to nap on) hit me up. I'm here for comic relief and any questions you may have so don't hesitate to send me those questions and/or memes. I'm here to make the transfer life the good life. WAHOOWA
