Hey what's good?! My name is Aurora Bays-Muchmore and I am a rising Third-Year from outside of Seattle, Washington. Even though I am not personally a transfer student, I have worked on the Transfer Advisory Board and as a TSPA due to my LOVE of transfers and my desire to help fill the social gap between new students and UVA as a whole. On Grounds, I am involved in Alpha Phi Omega (a co-ed service fraternity), Club Triathlon, the Washington Literary Society and Debating Union, Alternative Spring Break, and some other assorted organizations that I would be happy to talk to you about! When I was preparing to come to UVA, I google-stalked countless clubs and organizations and know it's impossible to choose without personal information about clubs and groups; if you have any questions about clubs or anything else on Grounds, please feel free to friend me on facebook or any other form of communication! I am not being facetious when I say that I will happily embark on any adventure or talk about any subject that you have questions/comments about. I genuinely want to help you find an academic and social home at UVA. If anything I said picques your interest-- reach out and let's hang!

Hey incoming transfers! My name is Caleb Briggs, and I am very excited to welcome you guys to UVA. I am a rising Third-Year majoring in English, and potentially picking up a second major in studio art. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, but the suburbs of Richmond, Midlothian specifically, have been my home for the past 12 years. My first year of undergrad was spent at William and Mary, and while I do miss it, I am so happy I decided to transfer to UVA. Transferring can be difficult, and I am here to answer any questions you may have, listen to any of the problems you are facing, whether they be related to transferring or not, and to just be a friend you can reach out to. As an English major, you can probably guess that I love to read. I also am very invested in music, art, queer politics, podcasts, and food. I love to work out, so if you need a gym buddy I'm happy to show you my favorite places to get a work out in here at UVA. Congrats on becoming a member of our community, we are so happy to have you! Transfers, welcome to the family! I'm Tristan, a rising Fourth-Year Economics major in the College of Arts and Sciences with a minor in Psychology. I grew up in Virginia Beach and I love going outdoors as well as playing guitar and writing music. My transfer experience was confusing and difficult at times, but I was soon met with numerous friendly faces who instantly made me feel at home. I'm now a brother of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity as well as a part-time employee at 1515 and OpenGrounds. You'll hear a thousand times over that UVA has countless ways to become involved and meet new people, but it's the truth! Which means there is a place for every single one of you here; guaranteed. If you ever want to talk about your transfer experience, share some of your favourite bands with me, or anything in between, feel free to reach out!

Congratulations and welcome to UVA! I am Troy Brunson, a rising Fourth-Year from Herndon, VA. I transferred from University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, two years ago and it has been a great decision. I am a double major in Public Policy and Youth and Social Innovation in the Batten and Curry Schools. Here at UVA I am on the Club Handball Team, a Curry Student Ambassador, and am a TSPA. Transferring here can feel daunting, but thankfully everyone here is happy to help. When you arrive on Grounds, the best advice I have is to get out and get involved! Feel free to contact me whenever about anything—transfer related or not. Welcome to UVA!
